IHG Hotels & Resorts has confirmed its first Holiday Inn & Suites property in Europe will open in Budapest, under the name Holiday Inn & Suites Budapest Centrale. The roughly 170-room hotel is scheduled to open in late 2026 as part of a mixed-use development in District XIV, situated above the Puskás Ferenc Stadion metro station.
The opening reflects continued international hotel investment in Budapest, adding to an accommodation market that already spans everything from budget hostels to five-star historic properties along the Danube. A metro-adjacent location outside the traditional tourist core also points to steady growth in areas beyond the established District V/VI/VII cluster.
